1. What this website actually uses
The website’s own scripts set no HTTP cookies. They may save two functional choices in browser localStorage: your selected language and that you have handled the storage notice. The purpose is to show the language you request and avoid repeating the message on every page. We create no advertising ID and build no visitor profile.
- ilaron.site.language.v1: saved only when you explicitly choose Svenska or English. Contains the language choice.
- ilaron.site.notice.v1: saved when you acknowledge the current essential-storage-only notice. Contains that the notice has been handled.
2. Information, not hidden consent
LocalStorage is not an HTTP cookie, but still stores information on your device. Rules about accessing terminal equipment can therefore apply. Current preferences serve only requested functions and our notice about them; there are no active analytics or advertising categories to approve.
I understand only means the notice can be remembered. It does not authorise future tracking, advertising or AI. Continuing to browse is not treated as consent either.
3. You can change or clear your choices
Open Cookie settings in the footer at any time to read about these choices or reset the local preference. Both entries have no automatic expiry and remain in that browser until you change or reset them, or clear site data.
Preferences are not shared across devices or sent to us as analytics. Theme-demo choices exist only in memory and are not stored. If localStorage is blocked you can still read the website; language choices or the notice may need to be handled again.
4. No hidden optional tools
We do not load Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, ad networks, external video embeds or externally hosted fonts. If non-essential technology is added later, purposes, providers and retention must be explained and fresh active, specific consent requested where required. Your current setting is not advance permission.
GitHub Pages and Cloudflare handle technical requests for hosting, domain and security. IP addresses and security logs are separate from local choices. Any necessary provider security mechanisms depend on enabled hosting configuration; we do not claim such cookies are active here.
5. The website and app are separate
Open web app leads to a separate Firebase-hosted app. Its local data, account, cloud functions and optional advertising choices are described in the privacy policy and app controls. A choice here does not approve anything there. Contact hello@oakdev.app if you find other storage or have questions.
